The Legacy of Oscar Peterson
31.01.10
No alliteration in the title this time, oh well. :)
I enjoy music. Good music. And, as all people, I am wholeheartedly convinced that my taste in music is superior to anyone else's. Subsequently, I am a man who enjoy new music. So if you, after reading this, feel like preaching your taste in music, please do so in the comment section below and I will check it out. :)
Anyways, Oscar Peterson! If you like jazz, you will definitely love this guy. He is considered the greatest piano player of modern time (if not, of all time) and has given out about two hundred albums(!!). And won seven Grammy awards. While that is all good, what about his music? Oscar plays with great passion and is able to capture you entirely for hours with his incredible, very technical music. His songs has great replay-value and you will probably find yourself listening to that same song over and over again, discovering new things about it each time you play it.
But I talk and talk; it is time you get to listen to this magnificence for yourself! The links below are Spotify-links, so copy them and paste it into the search field. If you do not have Spotify, you can find a great deal on YouTube or other video-sites.
Anyways, here we go:

Glorious Guinness
30.01.10
Just look at it. Now that is some good, dark beer. Luckily several places in Trondheim serve this fantastic beverage straight from the keg, and just yesterday I was lucky enough to consume some. If you are new to Trondheim (or just are looking for some cozy places to go) I will recommend (in random order)
- Cafe Dublin
- Pair-A-Dice
- Little London
- MacBeth
- The Olav Pub
- The Microbrewery
These are the places I prefer, however I am open to new suggestions. Leave them in the comment section and I will check them out. :)
That is all, take care and have a good day.

Troublesome Thursdays
28.01.10
Thursdays are tough. There is just something about the eight hours of lecture combined with miscellaneous other things on my to-do-list that makes my head spin. It does not help that I am nowhere near qualified for one of the courses I am attending this semester. Einstein was a genius, but he sure invented some strange notation that I am struggling very hard to comprehend.
Ah, and the ice. I walked home yesterday, fully alarmed about the current weather conditions, which resulted in a safe journey. My face was nowhere near the ground for the entire walk. This, however, filled me with false ease and lowered my guard considerably for the trip to the university today. Without going into to many details, my guard is definitely back up again due to a ice-related incident involving myself, gravity, Newton and Mother Earth.
^___^
Anyways, that is all.
Life is good and take care!

Finalization
26.01.10
The site is starting to take form, so I guess I should quit posting all this test-nonsense. Testing time is over (for now).
Anyways, this is where I will be posting (some of) my thoughts during the semester. As I am new to this blog-thing, I am not sure whether this will turn out to be fun to read or just... well, plain boring. Time will show.
Oh, and also, I will try to make some sort of comment-thing on these posts so you can take part in my.. thinking!
Yes. Take care.
